Part Two: The Purpose of the Law
The fear of God may cause someone to decrease the amount of their sin, but it can’t purge them from iniquity. Mercy and truth are needed for that. An individual can actually be brought to the point of recognising their need for salvation through the preaching of God’s wrath and judgment. Preaching God’s wrath and judgment is powerless to change people’s lives. It is God’s goodness, that leads people to repentance. God’s wrath may be able to get your attention, but it cannot change your heart. Only His goodness and mercy can do that. #parttwo #thepowerofthegospel #understandinggrace #thepurposeofthelaw
